Project description:
An immersive Science Center attraction based on the Equatorial Rainforest’s of the world. The architecture reflects the geometry of a fragile Origami cube that shields and protects a living Biome within a glass cylinder. The exterior cube houses the support spaces required to sustain a living environment designed to accommodate over 3,000 species of tropical plants, mammals, insects and fish within the desert setting of Dubai. The building also accommodates a presentations hall, science lab and coffee shop to cater for visitors and special events.

Main responsibilities: To ensure the design was in line with the Developer’s expectations and meeting all technical requirements to ensure the living space for the flora and fauna was achieved. Making sure that all the Developers’ decisions were implemented and in line with local Authorities regulations.
Major achievement: Creating the look and feel expected by the Developer, in this case an immersive environment like no other built before in Dubai. An other big challenge of this project was making sure all specialists from all trades were aligned in their requirements whilst complying with local Authorities regulations. Specialists from around the world were deployed for this project, such as zoologists, exhibit specialists, aquarium specialists, horticulturalists, specialists operators and life support specialists.
